Today we reflect on Lesson 156 from A Course in Miracles which states, “I walk with God in perfect holiness.” It is a statement of presence and belonging. A truth so deep and steady it can anchor us in the midst of confusion or fear. The lesson gently reminds us that we are never alone. We live and move in God. We do not earn holiness. It is what we are.
The message echoes throughout the Bible. In the book of Isaiah we read, “Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41 verse 10.) This promise is quiet and strong. God is not distant. He is your strength. He walks with you. He holds you steady.
In the Gospel of John Jesus speaks to his disciples and says, “In that day you will know that I am in my Father and you in me and I in you” (John 14 verse 20.) This is not a metaphor. It is an invitation to remember our place in God. It is the same message the Course repeats. We cannot walk alone because we were never created apart. Life is shared. Holiness is shared. We belong.
The world may seem harsh at times but the light within you cannot die. This is the light that trees bend toward. It is the holiness that flowers reflect. All creation recognizes what often we forget. That who you are is sacred. That your life is held in divine presence.
When you remember who walks with you the fear quiets. The old guilt falls away. You do not need to prove yourself to God. He already walks beside you. He already calls you holy.
Let this be your prayer. Let it fill the small spaces of your days. Whisper it when doubt comes. Say it when you feel rushed or afraid.
I walk with God in perfect holiness.
I walk with God and I am not alone.
